How to Become a Woman Comfortable in Her Own Skin

Pinterest LinkedIn Tumblr
Maybe you’re too afraid to wear a bikini to the beach, or maybe you’re always relying on makeup to hide your face, or maybe you doubt yourself to make a good decision. Low self-esteem comes in many forms, but the result is usually the same—you don’t feel good in your own skin, and sometimes you wish you could be someone else, someone different.
However, it’s high time you’ve realized that you are your own person and what you have is more unique and magnificent than you can imagine. Learning self-love is crucial to happiness, and luckily there are many ways you can go about it. If you want to become better and more confident, here are some of the little things that can help you.

})();

Cut negativity down as soon as it appears

Stop training yourself to only grasp at negative things and ignore everything good that’s happening in your life. If you’re going to be harsh with yourself, then be harsh to those bad, ugly thoughts that come into your head and tell you that you’re somehow less than you really are. Don’t let them grab a hold of you, and don’t waste your focus on self-deprecation—after all, it never led you anywhere, did it? Instead of that, start replacing every insult with a kind compliment towards yourself, and train your mind to embrace the goodness that surrounds you.

Learn when to walk away

Some people will never understand you. They will think that your choice of career is bad, or that your ideas about relationships are silly, or that some aspect of your life is somehow too unusual. So, let them think whatever they want to think. The more you try to justify your thoughts and actions, the worse you’ll feel, and there’s simply no good reason to keep trying to explain yourself to anyone. Do what makes you happy and stop depending on the approval of others.

Care for your body and treat it with respect

Eat well, exercise, and hydrate properly—taking care of your body is not about extreme diets and eating disorders, it’s simply about doing what you know is best for you. Learn to love your body regardless of its shape and size, and make fitness a fun, treasured part of your daily routine rather than a chore that you can’t stand.

document.write(”);
})();

Wear lingerie more often

Sexy lingerie is a powerful thing. No one has to see your slinky thong or your lacy bustier—if you know they’re there, you’ll feel ten times better and more alluring, especially because it will be your little secret. This is particularly important if you’re a curvy gal who’s not used to appreciating her own luscious body. You’ve got to let all that fear go and find yourself a sexy g-cup bra and a pretty pair of panties that will make you feel like a complete goddess. Whatever you wear over it will look even better because you’ll feel great and your confidence will transfer to your fashion.

Never stop learning and improving

Confidence isn’t an external factor, it comes from within. The best way to attain it is to simply work on your own skills and nurture your creativity and your intellect. Read books, sign up for interesting classes, visit museums and galleries, and educate yourself—there’s nothing more powerful than knowledge to keep you grounded and make you feel smart and capable.

Spend some time away from technology

Social media can be great, but it can also be full of drama, pettiness, and toxic people. Sometimes it’s good to simply step back and get back to the real world for a bit, where things don’t seem to be nearly as intense as they are online. Go out with your friends and have fun with them instead of poking and prodding your phone all the time. Better yet, go outside and be somewhere alone for a while. It’s good to learn how to be on your own without relying on technology to entertain you or distract you.

var mnSrc = (isSSL ? ‘https:’ : ‘http:’) + ‘//contextual.media.net/nmedianet.js?cid=8CU3G4D0M’ + (isSSL ? ‘&https=1’ : ”);
document.write(”);
})();

Stop trying to please others

People won’t respect you more if you keep trying to bend over backward just to please them. You can’t make everyone happy, and your own sense of self shouldn’t depend on others. You’re interesting, fun, and beautiful already, and there’s absolutely no need to try and prove that to anyone. Please yourself above anyone else, and people will appreciate you a lot more.
Know your own worth. Be aware of your own qualities, and lift yourself up every day. Feeling good in your own skin comes from the inside, so remember to appreciate every last bit of your being.

Our article takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we believe our perspective and voices matter – because it might well be your perspective, too.

If everyone who reads our posts, who likes it, helps fund it, our future would be much more secure.
