The ENTIRE Insecure Season 3 in one BLOG POST

We can’t be the only ones who felt like Insecure had 3 episodes this season then boom — It came to an end! How did those 9 episodes fly by so quickly and why does it feel like nothing much really happened?

In this Season, Issa is on Daniel’s couch for a few months as she struggled in her dead-end racist job (yes we said it because it was) while being a Lyft Driver! When you say “it’s hard in these streets” Issa can tell you how hard it truly is! We were relieved and scared when she quit her job and got a new position as the building manager and moved into a new building while hatching a dream plan and still moonlighting as a Lyft driver. Phew! Sis is working!

Issa meets a new guy, Nathan who is super attractive and whose eyes are like a custom color of Benjamin Moore paints– who ends up ghosting her!

Molly gets a new job at an All Black Law Firm and has to deal with all black assholes (yes we said it because they are) and an even shadier co-worker who low-key looks like a ninja turtle and is threatened by working with a smart woman. This leaves Molly constantly fighting to be heard (and seen) and she also feels invisible. Things change when Tiffany is about to have a baby and confesses to feeling left out and constantly trying to keep up after their very crazy Coachella weekend. Things got really awkward at her baby shower when a group of boujie women threw her the shower as opposed to her own friends. Kelly leaves as she feels it pointless and she feels disrespected. Between all this Molly finds out that Dro and is “wife” are expecting their first child together! We have 2 questions: When did he find time to get his wife pregnant and will this slow him down?

Kelly definitely took the Coachella episode to a whole level of “lituation” after she gets into a fight, then gets tasered and pees on herself and is our constant mood. Then pops up Lawrence at a convenience store (at Coachella) who we later learn has several STD’s after the previous season of “man-gardening” (hoeing).

He and Issa are able to patch things up and have conversations that are less awkward. Just when you have hopes for Lawrence, he meets a girl at church and another who was at Tiffany’s baby shower and is helping Issa with her Masterplan — we foresee the situation getting really messy as they get close.

The season ends with Issa turning Nathan away after ghosting her for a month just because he “wasn’t feeling too good” and she enjoys a glass of wine in the new apartment and is hopeful for her future.

We have a small favor to ask. People are reading the Haute Lifestyle than ever since our recent placement in the South Florida Blogger Awards but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. We do not have investors and everything Blog related is funded out of pocket– we want to keep our journalism as fun and open as we can. So you can see why we need to ask for your help. Our article takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we believe our perspective and voices matter – because it might well be your perspective, too.
