There is no doubt Euphoria which made it’s debut a few months ago on HBO is the talk of the town!
The 1st season has come and gone and the internet has been buzzing about all the stand-out makeup looks, notably those of the show’s resident “popular girl” Maddy Perez played by Alexa Demie.
Maddy’s make-up looks feature a signature cat-eye that is bold and precise, vivid colours, over the top lashes and neutral lined lips. Maddy’s make-up is described as performative as she was a former pageant queen and her make-out is well coordinated with her outfit and her nails. It plays on her fun and flirty character on the show by using glitter, rhinestones and even a tiny chain.

})();
The show’s make-up artiste Doniella Davy states that “Not just one character has a love of sparkly, rainbow makeup — several do. The best part is no one ever talks about it. Jules could have neon eye shadow blended all over her lids like tie-dye, or Maddy’s brows could be studded with silver gems, but no one makes a single comment. Bold, unconventional makeup is completely normal in Euphoria‘s hyper-realistic depiction of what it’s like to be a teenager in America in 2019″
As a Blogger and not a person who is BIG on creating make-up lewks, I thought it would be fun to attempt to create one of her looks with a fun Jamaican twist … braids!
Below is how my look came out!
