Stay Golden Cosmetics recently launched their Island Girl Collection + other collections in Jamaica! On Saturday last, the place to be for make-up artistes, “It” Girls and Make-Up enthusiasts was Koko-Bella in Mall Plaza!
The launch hosted by Jamaican Media Personality Yendi Phillips was as vibrant, fun and bold as the lipstick shades, was a vision come to life by the brand’s founder Danielle Edmond. The launch was deemed as Collective as several shades were highlighted from various Collections which includes: The Island Girl Matte Collection which features 22 shades, The Island Girl Gloss Collection that includes 14 shades and the Glitter Lip Kit Collection that has 15 shades. At the launch, the Chrome Glitter Lip Kits which is the first of its kind was introduced which currently has 3 shades.

The collections feature Caribbean related names like Jamrock, Bacchanal, BlxxdClxxt, Goodie, Portland, and Matey (just to name a few) is an embodiment of the overall vibe of the Jamaican and Caribbean Culture on a whole and how vibrant they are!

The inspiration behind the collections, according to Danielle Edmond is:
“Really our culture! I’m super proud of our culture .. “a proud gal enuh” so it was important for people to be familiar with the name –it’s important for people living abroad in the Caribbean diaspora when they hear a name like yaadie, it reminds them of home. That’s what resonates with me and I hope it will resonate with everyone”
