Ren Perfect Canvas Clean Primer Review

Imagine my excitement when I learned I was selected to receive the new Ren Perfect Canvas Clean Primer as a gift to add to my growing bougie skincare collection and of course to review.

Before I go any further, I must let you know what “Clean Beauty” is and how it’s different from regular products. Clean Beauty is defined as by-products that are mindfully created and produced without any proven or suspected toxic ingredients. Clean Beauty products include ingredients ethically sourced and are made with the health of our bodies and the environment in mind. Regular Skincare products will feature toxic ingredients that include preservatives and so on to extend shelf life.

The older I get the more I’m interested in the things I use on my skin and since learning about Ren Skincare I’ve been slowing wanting to learn more. First off, the packaging was what really pulled me in! It’s very simple yet bold enough and comes in a peachy/corally bottle with a dropper and the bottle is totally recyclable.

BENEFITS

Minimize pores, maximize makeup. Our probiotic Clean Primer plumps skin mattifies and fills in fine lines giving a 100% improvement in skin smoothness*, for the perfect makeup application and extended wear. While skin-boosting extracts help balance your good bacteria, reducing breakouts and promoting a healthy microbiome.

Expect truly smooth skin – all without silicones.

MY EXPERIENCE

It’s recommended to use after moisturizer and SPF which I’m recommending should be clean too just to maximize the results — it has that lightly scented “expensive” smell that gives a hint of something but not too overpowering. I noticed that it rolled together with the other products (moisturizer and SPF) and gave a weird texture so I would recommend allowing at least 1-minute dry time between other products. Shocker! When I applied the product to my face it dried quickly so you have to move fast!

I then followed with my foundation and applied evenly and finished with a setting spray. I noticed it had a natural dewy look which I wasn’t a fan of but it was quickly remedied with a white setting powder that put everything in place. I did not see the results right away as suggested by the product but I saw it on day 5 when my pores became virtually invisible and any smile lines were filled in! It gives that filtered look — but in real life.

If you decide to purchase this product It’s a great buy but be patient and be sure to follow the instructions for applying for the best results.

I would definitely recommend the product and give it a 7/10.
