I must admit, there are a few events I watch every year and the BET Awards is not one of them.

Music has changed so much and I can’t seem to get into trap or hardcore rap so I usually opt out as I have no idea who is trending other than Megan Thee Stallion and Cardi B. I literally cannot relate and that’s my business!

I however always make it my point of duty to always watch the Red Carpet as this is a Lifestyle Blog and I’m here to report what’s hot and what’s not. This year’s event was held on Sunday, June 26, 2022, at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles and hosted by Taraji P. Henson.

The event, deemed as “Black Culture’s Biggest Night”, celebrates the biggest names in music television, film, literature, and more where Sean “P Diddy” Combs received the Lifetime Achievement Award. He deserved it as he’s been a Pioneer in the Music and Business Industries for years and uses his influences and power to bring attention to issues like voting that plagued the Black Community for years and was the force behind Ms.Opal Lee to make Juneteenth a Federal Holiday in America where he was able to get 1.5 Million signatures that were taken to the Senate.

With all that being said, the show must go on and it’s time to look at the Best and Worst Looks of the Night. This is in no way meant to shame or discriminate against celebrities, but! A fun way to look at their Fashion choices. The event does not usually have a theme so celebrities are left to express themselves as freely as they like and while some took this with a grain of salt, there were some who took the “more is more” theme as their own.
