Upon arrival, guests were greeted by a mesmerizing neon pink sign bearing the iconic “Barbie” logo, setting the tone for the event. The “Barbie Jeep,” a  Jeep Wrangler Unlimited from Kingston Industrial Garage (KIG), awaited just a few steps away, becoming a perfect spot for capturing cherished photo ops for the attending “Barbs.”

Immersed in Barbieland

The venue itself transformed into a life-sized “Barbie Dream House,” instantly whisking attendees away from reality. From the signature “Barbie Box” to “Barbie’s Dressing Room” and a Barbie Photo Booth complete with a phone for snapshots, the entire setup embodied the essence of “Barbieland.” Notably, the centerpiece of the evening was the stunning 40-foot-long Pink Carpet adorned with Barbie logos throughout.

A Vision Brought to Life

Event designer Shikima Hinds, from her eponymous brand, masterfully orchestrated the decor, crafting various pockets of “Barbieland” that allowed guests to relish the feeling of being immersed in the Barbie world. The dynamic use of different shades of pink and captivating pops of color, along with Barbie-themed areas such as her telephone and the “Hi Barbie” Photo Op sections, created an enchanting atmosphere. A mini house, specially created for the bar area, further transported patrons to “Barbieland.”

She explained:

My idea was to create different pockets from Barbieland and create Barbieworld so that people could have that feeling of being in ‘Barbieland.’ We really enhanced the different shades and pops of pink; her telephone, and her ‘Hi Barbie’ Photo Op areas. We created a mini house for the bar area so that people would like they were in Barbieland.
