Just in case you did not get the memo, GenXS is THE hottest band for Carnival Jamaica.
I had my very first hand experience with the band last year and they did not disappoint! From celebrities like Chance the Rapper to Omarion and of course the massage and spa-like treatment at Road March 2022, I was eager to see what they had in store for 2024.
GenXS “Unleashes The Dragon” at Band Launch
Enter, “Unleash the Dragon” which was the theme of their band launch held on Saturday, November 18, and my interest was immediately piqued! As a millennial, I must admit, my mind went straight to Sisqo’s “Unleash the Dragon” with dragons, fire, and a whole bag a tings!
The theme did not disappoint as the show opened with fire breathers, and then as the lights dimmed, it was showtime. We saw famous Carnival girlies like Krystal Pitt, Diane O. Brown, and of course, the LEGENDARY Christina Gonzales. If the band launch was this spectacular, we can only imagine what the actual Road March 2024 will be like!
