Fashion is more than just what we wear—it’s the stories, culture, and creativity behind every look. At Haute People, our motto has always been “Where Fashion. Meets Purpose.” Now, we are taking that mission to the next level with the launch of our brand-new digital series, Haute in the Islands.
Haute in the Islands: A New Fashion Interview Series
What is “Haute in the Islands”?
Haute in the Islands is a fashion-forward video series designed to showcase the bold and vibrant voices of Caribbean creatives who are shaping the region’s fashion, beauty, and lifestyle industries. From designers and stylists to photographers and influencers, this series puts the spotlight on the personalities behind the looks.
Each episode invites a creative talent to weigh in on their unique perspective on what’s considered Haute, or Not Haute. Expect unfiltered conversations, a dose of humor, and fresh takes that highlight the diverse expressions of Caribbean style.
Why Launch This Series?

After over 13 years of building Haute People into a trusted fashion and lifestyle platform, I wanted to create something that blends storytelling, video content, and cultural commentary. Fashion is often seen as distant or exclusive, but the Caribbean is overflowing with untapped creativity waiting to be shared with the world. – Lorane Rhoden, CEO, Haute People
Haute in the Islands was born from the need to give local creatives a platform that celebrates their voice while also connecting them to a global audience hungry for authentic perspectives. This is not just a fashion series, it’s a cultural bridge.
Who is it For?
This series is for anyone who loves fashion and wants to see it from a Caribbean lens. Whether you are a young creative hoping to break into the industry, a fashion enthusiast curious about regional trends, or a professional looking to collaborate with emerging talent, Haute in the Islands offers something for you.
