Innovative Energy Group Limited (IEG) has officially launched its e-nnovation electric utility vehicle (EV) line, marking the company’s entry into Jamaica’s electric mobility market and delivering on its strategy to develop new revenue streams outlined to shareholders earlier this year.
IEG Launches EV Line, Expands Revenue Strategy
The launch took place during the Corporate Golf Challenge at Caymanas Golf Club this weekend, where the vehicles were deployed across the course and experienced firsthand by players and corporate guests. IEG served as a sponsor of the event, providing its electric carts as part of its partnership with the tournament.
This official debut follows the initial introduction of the vehicles at the recent Red Blazer Charity Golf Classic, another event sponsored by IEG. The Red Blazer tournament raised approximately JM$1 Million in support of tertiary scholarships and bursaries, reflecting the company’s ongoing commitment to community engagement and social development.
The launch of e-nnovation represents a direct step in delivering on commitments made to shareholders at the company’s Annual General Meeting in January, when leadership outlined plans to diversify revenue and strategically enter the electric mobility market.
IEG Chairman Nigel Davy said the new vehicle line demonstrates the company’s ability to convert strategy into action.
“Earlier this year, we shared with shareholders that IEG would begin exploring complementary markets that align naturally with our renewable energy expertise,” Davy said. “The launch of our e-nnovation electric vehicles shows we are executing on that promise in a disciplined and strategic way.”
Designed for golf courses, hospitality properties, industrial facilities, and gated communities, the e-nnovation line includes 6-seater and 2-seater models, allowing flexibility for different operational needs. Both carts complement IEG’s solar and battery energy storage solutions, enabling customers to pair clean mobility with on-site renewable charging infrastructure.
President and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Conrad Miller said the product line reflects the company’s broader strategy of building a diversified clean energy platform.
“Electric mobility is a natural extension of our solar and battery technologies,” Miller said. “By integrating vehicles with renewable energy infrastructure, we are expanding the value we can deliver to customers while opening new opportunities for growth.”
Miller added that the Corporate Golf Challenge provided an effective real-world demonstration of the vehicles’ performance and reliability.
IEG views electric mobility as a complementary growth driver alongside its core renewable energy business, with demand increasing across hospitality, commercial and residential sectors in Jamaica and the wider Caribbean.
