There is nothing better than having a solid routine that sets you up for success!

What can I say, I am structured and organized, and having a routine has helped me throughout my life to stay on track with my goals and to of course “stay sane”.  Today, I will be sharing the updated routine that I have somewhat been “curating” in 2019. If this is something you are interested in, keep reading!

My 2021 Morning Routine Explained

5 AM

I start my weekdays at 5 am from Monday to Friday. Here I wake up at the sound of an alarm, then proceed to the bathroom to do a succinct version of my “nighttime routine”. This is a quick 5-minute thing I do where I wash my face with just water to wash away whatever product I had on from the night before. I take a quick shower to refresh the “areas” that need refreshing and in a jiffy, I’m out! This is followed by a mattifying sunscreen and a jade roller. I then remove the pillows from my bed and spread the bed then it’s devotion time! Yes! I’m one of those people who STILL believe in Jesus and STILL read my Bible and Prays. I like the feeling of knowing whatever I’m going through I can take it to the Lord in prayer and know that I’m taken care of. Afterward, It’s time to put on make-up which is really simple and comprises of foundation, eyeliner, and chapstick or lip gloss. I lightly fill in my brows as I like a natural look and who has time for a full face in the morning? This again takes anywhere from 10-12 minutes. I then get dressed in gym clothes or work clothes if it’s my day off at the gym.

It’s Breakfast time! I’m one of those Jamaicans who prefer a light continental breakfast over a heavy carb-filled breakfast. This can be as simple as Oatmeal or Porridge, Fruit and Tea (hot) or Pancakes and Eggs with Turkey Bacon or an Egg Sandwich. Breakfast is quick and takes about 15 minutes to make.

7: 15 – 7:30 AM

I make an effort each day to leave the house by 7:30 am at the latest as traffic where I live is real! On a good day, I usually leave between 7:15 to 7:20. I head back to the kitchen to grab my packed lunch, then do a final check to ensure I have everything I need.

8:00 AM

It’s Gym Time! I started the gym in October 2020 and have been going ever since then! My session is from 8am-9 am and I usually start with a 10-minute cardio warm-up on the treadmill and  Elliptical. After that, I stretch and start working out with a trainer.

8:57 AM

By 8:57 I end the session so I can take a shower and start getting ready for work. Here, I re-touch my make-up and fix my hair then head out to work. I work 5 minutes away from the gym so the commute is super easy.

9:30 AM

I’m in the office between 9:30 – 9:45 and start working officially!

I love reading about or looking at people’s routines as I find it extremely interesting! I will be sharing a few more of my routines so you can know more about me and maybe take a few things away from what I do to stay on track with your own lives to be more successful!
