Pamela Anderson’s Makeup-Free Fashion Week Debut

Pamela Anderson has been back in the spotlight since the production of the drama on her marriage to Tommy Lee, ‘Pam & Tommy’, without her permission and shortly after her Netflix film “Pamela, A Love Story,” where she got to tell her story on her terms.

Pamela Anderson’s Makeup-Free Fashion Week Debut

Pamela Anderson has always stolen the hearts of many but she stole the show when attending the latest Paris Fashion Week completely makeup-free. The 56-year-old created an online frenzy.

Videos and images covered the internet of her smiling ear to ear just on her way to Isabel Marant’s show. The fresh-faced icon was wearing a stunning yellow midi bodycon style dress, with only her skin care as an accessory.

Where the standards for beauty are getting so far out of reach and where society and social media don’t favour women as they age, it has a huge impact on women when it comes to makeup and plastic surgery. So seeing a woman of her age, social status and influence go to one of the most important social events of the year bare-faced, looking happy and free, was beautiful to see and empowering for all women.

How Do Women Feel Now?

Oscar-winning Jamie Lee Curtis flooded entertainment news with the caption, “THE NATURAL BEAUTY REVOLUTION HAS OFFICIALLY BEGUN! I am so impressed and floored by this act of courage and rebellion”. She has begun to motivate other women and has begun this kind of uproar.

Pamela shows off her natural beauty during the middle of Paris Fashion Week, where pressures to be ‘perfect’ are at an all-time high. She exudes confidence and does it so well, claiming her seat at the table with nothing but a bare face.

If Pamela Anderson knows that being bare-faced is beautiful and has represented it multiple times in front of the cameras, she had a fresh-faced look during the whole of her documentary ‘A Love Story’, opening herself up fully, and being completely vulnerable with her fans.

As she has been the picture of perfection since her debut in Playboy and the series Baywatch, it’s refreshing to women that even the icon herself, Pamela, is comfortable in her skin, and it is liberating to have a role model who doesn’t paint an unrealistic image of beauty.

What Did Pamela Say?

Pamela’s makeup-free thought came from simply trying on her outfits in preparation for Paris Fashion Week, where she thought she wanted the clothes to have a voice and be the centre of the stage. By choosing a makeup-free debut, she had no intention of creating such a message but she has only had a positive impact on women around the world.

She spoke about why she scaled back to her signature look: thin eyebrows and fresh, bare-face beauty. Pamela told Elle Magazine in August that she wanted to go back in time after she lost her makeup artist, Alexis Vogel, to breast cancer.

“She was the best… And since then, I just felt that, without Alexis, it’s better for me to not wear makeup.” She then went on to describe the feeling and her experience of being makeup-free as “freeing, fun, and a little rebellious too.”

Pamela has never been one to follow the crowd and evidently leads with her heart. It’s a truly inspiring story of what brought her to this rebellious outlook on women’s beauty expectations and if Pamela Anderson can do it, so can you.
