Pre-registration packages will also include two GenXS-branded insulated mugs; the new GenXS Moon Slides, designed for comfort across Carnival, travel and recovery days; and the GenXS Carry-On Capsule, a premium hard-shell travel case available in Obsidian Black, Space Dust Pink and Nebula Red and equipped with features including 360-degree spinner wheels, telescoping handle, secure locking and reinforced construction.

The campaign invites masqueraders to showcase Carnival from their own point of view, using the GenXS Smart Glasses equipped with Bluetooth connectivity, interchangeable clear and tinted lenses and POV recording capabilities, allowing masqueraders to capture Carnival from their perspective while staying connected to the music and atmosphere of the road.

The campaign combines these new items with exclusive 72-hour priority access to costume registration and a complimentary GenXS Immortals J’Ouvert T-shirt package for eligible first-tier pre-registrants.

Monét Flowers, Acting Marketing Director of GenXS Carnival, explains that Watch the Road was developed to signal the scale of the band’s ambition for 2027, while giving masqueraders tangible value and meaningful advantages long before they touch the road.

“We’re approaching the 2027 Carnival season by curating a GenXperience that we believe will redefine what our masqueraders expect from GenXS; from the first interaction with the brand to the moment they step onto the road,” Flowers said. “We’ve already shown Jamaica the level of experience GenXS can deliver, and that’s a big part of why we’ve grown to become the largest band in the country. So for 2027, we’ve taken it even further and Watch the Road gives patrons their first glimpse into that vision. Our GenXSers will definitely be over the moon this year because the costumes, the creative direction and the full GenXS road Xperience for 2027 are unlike anything we’ve brought to Jamaica before.”

Eligible first-tier pre-registrants will also receive a complimentary GenXS Immortals J’Ouvert T-shirt package, normally valued at US$125, with the option to upgrade to premium J’Ouvert add-ons. They will also benefit from 72-hour priority access to GenXS Carnival 2027 registration, allowing them to select their preferred costume sections before registration opens to the general public. With some options and sections potentially reaching capacity within that window, pre-registration offers masqueraders an important head start in securing their place with the band.

The Watch the Road concept will continue onto the road itself on April 3 and 4, 2027, when GenXS masqueraders will be invited to use their Smart Glasses to capture their personal POV of GenXS Immortals J’Ouvert and GenXS Carnival in Jamaica. Participants will be challenged to turn their footage into a one-minute recap Reel showcasing the energy, movement and moments that defined their GenXperience, and publish these aftermovies to their social media.

The winning masquerader will receive an all-expenses-paid Carnival trip for two, with the opportunity to select from three regional and diaspora Carnival experiences: GenXS Miami 2027, ORO Luxury Carnival in Grenada 2027, or Trinidad Carnival with TRIBE in 2028.

The initiative also underscores GenXS’ growing regional footprint, linking Jamaica with its strategic Carnival partners, TRIBE in Trinidad and ORO Luxury Carnival in Grenada, while extending the brand’s reach through GenXS Miami in the diaspora.

The prize gives one masquerader the opportunity to carry their GenXS journey beyond Jamaica to some of the region’s most recognised Carnival destinations.
