The Smirnoff GenXS INFINITY Season Launch at Terra Nova did not feel like a typical season announcement. It felt like a statement.
GenXS is not playing small this year.
Smirnoff GenXS INFINITY Season Launch Sets the Standard for Carnival 2026
At the centre of that statement is Machel Montano, the undisputed King of Soca, who returns to the road after securing his 12th Road March title in Trinidad. His inclusion is not just a booking, it is a signal of intent. GenXS is bringing the highest level of Carnival energy into Jamaica, powered through its partnership with KFC, and positioning the road experience as one that competes on a regional scale.

Machel on the GenXS truck changes the tone of the entire road.
But the real disruption is happening at J’Ouvert.
GenXS has stepped outside of the expected Trinidad pipeline and reached directly into Grenada, bringing in Little Kerry and Muddy to headline Immortals J’Ouvert. This is not a safe move, it is a smart one.
Little Kerry’s “Bury All”, one of the most dominant J’Ouvert anthems of the season, brings a raw, high-energy sound that is built for paint, powder and chaos at dawn. Alongside him is Muddy, who was present at the launch and whose track “Payroll” continues to command the road across multiple territories.
This is a shift in sound, a shift in tempo, and a shift in what Jamaica J’Ouvert can become.
That evolution is being backed heavily by Smirnoff, whose role as Title Sponsor goes beyond branding. Through the Red Stripe portfolio, the experience is being built around a premium offering that matches the scale of the production.
From Smirnoff cocktails to Rum Stripe, Casamigos, Johnnie Walker and Don Julio, the bar experience is being treated as part of the product, not an afterthought. It is a deliberate move toward a more refined Carnival environment, one that aligns with how patrons are now travelling, spending and choosing their band.

Sean Wallace, Commercial Director at Red Stripe, noted that the partnership with GenXS reflects the growing demand for more elevated Carnival experiences, with a focus on quality, presentation and consistency across the road.
That level of experience is not just cultural, it is economic.
Speaking at the launch, Hon. Delano Seiveright, Minister of State in the Ministry of Industry, Investment and Commerce, pointed to the growing impact of Carnival on Jamaica’s economy. Recent figures show that Carnival generated approximately J$7.7 billion in direct expenditure in 2025, with total economic impact exceeding J$165 billion. Visitors are now spending over US$5,300 per person, reinforcing Carnival’s role as a serious tourism driver.
In that context, GenXS is no longer just a participant. It is a contributor to national growth.
Now in its fourth year in Jamaica and operating as a fully Jamaican-owned band, GenXS has moved quickly from entry to influence, building a platform that connects regional talent, global brands and local execution.
Kibwe McGann, Sponsorship Director for GenXS, did not downplay the ambition:
“We are not here to participate in Carnival. We are here to shape it. Bringing Machel, bringing Grenadian energy through Little Kerry and Muddy, and partnering with brands like Smirnoff to elevate the experience, that is intentional. Jamaica is ready for a bigger, more connected Carnival, and GenXS is building for that reality.”
From the road to J’Ouvert, from talent to production, the Smirnoff GenXS INFINITY Season Launch made one thing clear.
This is not just another season. This is a shift.
